Age is something only in your head or a stereotype. Age means nothing when you are passionate about something. Grunge is a hippied romantic version of punk. I couldn’t love a woman who inspired me to be totally disinterested. If I fell in love with a woman for an artistic reason, or from the point of view of my work, I think it would rob her of something. You have to stay true to your heritage; that’s what your brand is about. I’ve treated the waistcoat as if it were a corset, so that it becomes the first layer in the process of putting clothes on the body. There is constant motion between layering and revealing.

If I had the power, I would ban leggings. In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different. Give me time and I’ll give you a revolution. The only way to do something in depth is to work hard. Fashion is to please your eye. Shapes and proportions are for your intellect.

I love my beauty. It’s not my fault. Fashion should be fun. It shouldn’t be labelled intellectual. It is not easy to dress well. I do not have one theme for each season, I just try to make beautiful clothes all year round. Women are women, and hurray for that.
